Complementary therapy is one business that is hard to write about without making it sound like witchcraft! There are very few scientific tests that will verify why any of the therapies I practice are so successful and because of the total confidentiality my patients enjoy, I am not able to give names and health care histories of the patients that have benefited from treatment here at my practice. All the therapies I practice can be given alongside medical treatment and I do not expect anyone to give up visiting their doctor once they embark on a course of treatment. Complementary therapy is what it says, complementary to whatever type of health care you chose.
My work is all about health and wellness and everyone knows, it is not rocket science, that a good diet is essential for all round good health. We can not eat too many fruits and vegetables. We have all heard of the ‘five a day’ campaign set up decades ago. Did you know that five a day is not enough? By five a day it is best to think of five fruits and five vegetables that are raw, sun ripened, organic and of varying colours to ensure that all the nutrients and phytonutrients are getting in to our system. At The Garden Clinic we are of the belief that nothing replaces a good healthy diet and we encourage all our patients and friends to buy as much produce as possible from farmers markets and allotment holders to avoid any harsh chemicals and to ensure that the food is sun ripened and not gas ripened and all the nutrients have had enough time in the soil to have produced all their nutrients by the time we get to eat it. We also promote the safety net that is Juice Plus for those days when we can’t eat what we would like to, or as an extra health boost to avoid as many bugs and infections as possible.
